Popular offerings include classics such as Stracciatella, Pistachio, Hazelnut, and the signature Bacio di Latte sweet cream, along with rotating fruit sorbets and seasonal items.
Bacio di Latte, the Italian gelato chain known for making its product fresh daily in-store, is expanding in Santa Monica with a second location at 1510 Montana Ave.
The new shop will open next to Italian wine and food retailer Sogno Toscano, continuing the brand’s growth on the Westside. It comes after the chain opened its first Santa Monica store in downtown at 331 Santa Monica Blvd. earlier this year.
Founded in 2011 in Milan by brothers Edoardo and Luigi, Bacio di Latte emphasizes traditional Italian gelato-making techniques using high-quality ingredients. The company sources milk and cream from family farms in Sonoma County, pistachios from Italy, chocolate from Belgium, and fresh local fruit for its sorbets. New flavors are introduced every three weeks.
Popular offerings include classics such as Stracciatella, Pistachio, Hazelnut, and the signature Bacio di Latte sweet cream, along with rotating fruit sorbets and seasonal items. The shops also serve affogatos and other coffee-based drinks.
Bacio di Latte already operates locations in Century City, Brentwood, and Marina del Rey, with additional Southern California shops planned in Studio City, Calabasas, Beverly Hills, and Topanga.
