Summer Soulstice Festival to Bring Beer Garden, Outdoor Dining and Food Vendors to Main Street

Festivalgoers will be able to sample beverages from local producers, including Santa Monica Brew Works and Sokē & Soula, while also getting an early taste of Santa Monica Brew Works’ new End of the Trail Pale Ale.

Food, drinks and outdoor dining will take center stage when the annual Summer Soulstice Festival returns to Main Street on Saturday, June 20, bringing a day of culinary offerings, live entertainment and family activities to the beachside corridor.

The free festival will run from noon to 7 p.m., transforming Main Street into a pedestrian-friendly event space featuring local restaurants, bars, vendors and Santa Monica’s recently launched Entertainment Zone, which allows attendees to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating businesses and carry them throughout designated festival areas.

One of the event’s featured attractions will be the inaugural Route 66 Roadhouse Beer Garden, operating from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Ashland Hill parking lot at 2807 Main St.

Festivalgoers will be able to sample beverages from local producers, including Santa Monica Brew Works and Sokē & Soula, while also getting an early taste of Santa Monica Brew Works’ new End of the Trail Pale Ale. Additional drinks will be available through a Tap Truck serving cocktails and other beverages.

The beer garden will also feature music from DJ Mozo, country-themed entertainment and a family area with a bounce house. Admission to the beer garden includes beverage tastings and access to the children’s activity area. Organizers said ticket prices for the beer garden will increase at the door.

Beyond the beer garden, attendees can explore food offerings from Main Street restaurants and businesses participating in the Entertainment Zone program. The festival is designed to encourage visitors to dine, shop and socialize throughout the commercial district while enjoying outdoor entertainment.

The event will also feature more than 100 local artists, makers, nonprofit organizations and vendors, along with a Volkswagen classic car show.

Live music will be presented on two stages throughout the day. Performers include Noble Creatures, This Whole Time and Black Sage Burn on the Strand Street Stage, while the Pier Avenue Stage will host Brig Band, Westside Crew and Petty Theft.

Family-friendly activities will include face painting, soccer clinics, musical story times and hands-on art projects.
