The immersive dining experience features retro artwork, a New York-style pizza menu, and exclusive merchandise.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans will have a culinary destination on the Westside after the pizzeria we never knew we needed finally opens this month for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans and anyone else who just likes pizza. It’s likely that the Turtles themselves would be pretty excited about it.
The 3,000-square-foot restaurant, located at 1444 3rd Street on the Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade, is scheduled to host its official grand opening ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20. Developed through a licensing partnership with Paramount Products & Experiences and the Lunchbox Group, the venue pairs a classic New York-style pizza program with themed interactive spaces.
While no one has revealed who is making the pizza, we have been assured that it is New York-style pizza that is “turtle-approved.” What kind of pizza would Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles approve of? We would guess that the kind that takes a good fold would be just the ticket.
The restaurant’s interior design is modeled explicitly after the franchise’s original 1980s comic and cartoon artwork. Architectural features include physical recreations of the characters’ subterranean sewer lair alongside stylized nods to retro New York City streetscapes.
There will also be pizza. Yes, real pizza.
Opening day festivities include an official morning ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by public doors opening at 11 a.m. Early patrons will have access to promotional giveaways and costumed character appearances throughout the day. Additionally, the first 100 paying customers will receive exclusive, limited-edition franchise memorabilia.
Beyond the dining menu, the dual-concept space will operate a dedicated retail section selling exclusive apparel and collectibles, complemented by an adult beverage menu featuring themed craft cocktails, which means there’s something for fans of all ages. Turtle Power!
