After going through a difficult stretch the St. Monica boys basketball team ended its slump by winning two games.
St. Monica defeated CAMES, 72-62, and Malibu, 50-46, in non-league games, improving its overall record to 8-6.
The Mariners’ had trouble in a tournament at Redondo High, where they were routed by Morningsoide, 88-53, then lost to Hawthorne, 69-65, Verbum Dei, 59-53, and Locke, 65-60.
Before that the team was playing well, and Coach Tony Depa has high hopes for league play. Â
