St. Joseph Center Thrift Store Re-Opens in Santa Monica:

After closing temporarily in November 2009, St. Joseph Center’s Thrift Store opened once again at its new location in Santa Monica. An eager crowd kept staff and volunteers busy all day, shopping for deals on gently used high-end designer goods that included purses, accessories, shoes, clothing and other items by brands such as Christian Louboutin, See by Chloe, Jil Sander, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss, Armani and so much more.

In addition, shoppers delighted at the large variety of merchandise which also included house wares and furniture. New items offered at great discounts included donations from manufacturers of brand new children’s clothing and T-shirts offered at $2 each.

“The amount of support has been absolutely incredible, from contributors who donated so many high quality items for us to sell, to the committee who made sure that we could open our doors with pride,” states St. Joseph Center Executive Director Dr. Va Lecia Adams, “we are so grateful that our retail initiative could re-launch in such a strong way.”

Proceeds from sales directly benefit the Center’s array of programs which serve local low-income housed and homeless individuals and families. The store’s new location is at 1828 Lincoln Blvd., between Pico and Michigan in Santa Monica.
