Samohi Loses to Villa Park 29-35:

Samohi’s football team was handed its first loss of the season on Sept. 23, losing on the road to Villa Park, 29-35.

Senior wide receiver Kris Comas continued his strong play on the season with over 100 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough for the Samohi Vikings (2-1) as Villa Park’s rushing attack was simply too much.

Villa Park’s running back Kapena Olsen accumulated 219 yards on the ground and scored three touchdowns.

Next up for the Vikings is a home game against regional power Valencia. The game will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Santa Monica College’s Corsair Field.
