Culver City Upsets Samohi Girls Basketball: Moriah Faulk Misses Second Straight Game

With Moriah Faulk benched for the second game in a row, Santa Monica High School girls basketball team was upset by visiting Culver City Friday (Jan. 14). The final score was 62-56.

Faulk was held out from the team’s previous game, a Jan. 12 win over Inglewood, for breaking an unspecified team rule, coach Marty Verdugo told the Mirror.

The loss drops Samohi to 12-4 overall and 1-1 in the Ocean League. The Lady Vikings host Troy of Fullerton on Monday (Jan. 17) before resuming league play Wednesday against Beverly Hills High School.
