Santa Monica Police and Fire Departments Host Annual Night Out:

The annual Police Activities League Night Out took place Tuesday night outside the Santa Monica police station.

The event featured hot dogs, carnival games and demonstrations on stage while also adhering to the theme of emergency preparation. Both the police and fire departments stressed the importance of self-sustainability in the case of a disaster.

Throughout the night, the public services told the community about Santa Monica’sCERT and DART classes to help better train people for disaster relief.
