Two People Rushed To Hospital After Multi-Vehicle Crash On The PCH:

A stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway remains shut down in Santa Monica because of a multi-vehicle crash.

Paramedics pulled two victims from the wreck on the 1100 block of the PCH near the McClure tunnel, according to KCAL9.

Both victims were rushed to a local hospital.

The accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. this evening.

The investigation continues, police say one of the drivers may have been drinking, according to KCAL9.

Not surprisingly given its proximity to the Los Angeles area, the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area suffers from high levels of light pollution that not only affect nighttime views of the sky, but also can disrupt wildlife ecosystems, according to a study released today.
