Car Flies Into House:

Early last Wednesday morning, a man, a woman and a house were injured when a driver going north on 12th Street lost control of his car as it crossed Georgina Avenue, hit the curb, became airborne and flew into the house at 1201 Georgina.

12th Street ends at Georgina.

The car was embedded in the wall of the house, trapping the driver and passenger in the car. Using the jaws of life, Santa Monica Firefighters spent 45 minutes extricating them. In stable condition, they were taken to a local hospital.

Though the people in the house were very surprised, they were not injured.Damage to both the house and the car was extensive, and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
