Former Samohi Quarterback Ryan Katz aims for a receiver during spring scrimmage at Oregon State.

Earlier tonight, former Samohi quarterback Ryan Katz said he will transfer to San Diego State after spending the past four years at Oregon State.

Katz started 14 games for the Beavers in three years, but was benched in the second half of the 2011 opener. Katz will have one year of eligibility remaining and is eligible to play right away in the 2012 season because he will have completed his undergrad.

Katz threw for 2,722 yards and 19 touchdowns in his career at OSU.
