SMPD Deputy Chief Al Venegas To Receive ‘Hall of Fame’ Ethics Award:

Santa Monica Police Department Deputy Chief Al Venegas will be one of six recipients of the California-based International City/County Management Association’s (Cal-ICMA) inaugural “Hall of Fame” Ethics Award for his work with the City of Bell during 2011.

In 2011, Deputy Chief Venegas was one of six professional managers, who went above and beyond the call of duty in support of the ICMA Code of Ethics, when he spent several weeks assisting the Bell City Council restore professionalism and ethics within the city.

Deputy Chief Venegas will be honored this Friday, Feb. 3, during the League of California Cities’ annual City Managers Department Meeting, at the Hyatt Hotel in Indian Wells, California.
