Big Blue Bus Announce Service Alert For Route 5, Route 7/Rapid 7:

Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus has issued the following notifications regarding for Route 5 and Route 7/Rapid 7 Riders.

Route 5

Due to the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s event in Century City this Sunday, Nov. 4, Route 5 will remain on Olympic Boulevard while traveling in both directions between 6 a.m. and approximately 12 p.m. (or until bus service may safely to resume into Century City).

During the event hours, stops on Constellation Blvd. at Century Park East, at Avenue of the Stars and at Century Park West will be closed.

Please use the temporary stop on Olympic Blvd. and Century Park West in both directions.

Route 7/Rapid 7

Due to road work, the stops on Pico Blvd. at Sepulveda Blvd. will be closed in both directions until about Jan. 31, 2013.

Instead, use the stop on Pico Blvd. at Military Ave. (east of Sepulveda) or Pico Blvd. and Sawtelle Blvd. (west of Sepulveda).
