YWCA Santa Monica/Westside will host a Mandala Workshop from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today, Dec. 21 at the YWCA Santa Monica Community Room, 2019 14th Street, Santa Monica.
The word mandala comes from the Hindu language of Sanskrit and simply means “circle.”
In this two-hour workshop, learn the art of creating your personal, freestyle mandala using colored pencils, collage, and crayons. Cost is $20, refreshments and snacks provided.

Adhoc signs were placed on Santa Monica beach late Wednesday afternoon, advising swimmers to avoid the Pico Kenter Drain area.
