Learn About Special Needs Yoga At Free Santa Monica Library Event Saturday:

Santa Monica residents are invited to learn what special needs yoga is all about at a free event this Saturday, May 4 at the Main Public Library.

At 3 pm there will be a live demonstration and DVD screening in the library’s Multipurpose Room, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.

The program provides an opportunity to observe the safe, practical, and useful movements that yoga offers.

It is open to all but is especially designed for the senior population, and men and women of all ages with special needs.

There is also a section on Caregiving Yoga for those who care for senior parents, children or friends.

Bea Ammidown is a certified Yoga Therapist with more than 40 years of practice that includes training for Children’s Hospital, LA; Kaiser Permanente; Los Angeles Caregiver Resource Center; UCLArts and Healing and AARP.

This program is free and all ages are welcome.

Space is limited and on a first-arrival basis.
