Samohi Vikings Football Triumphant; St. Monica Mariners Football Team Out:

The Santa Monica Vikings football team won Friday’s home playoff game against Channel Islands 27-0.

This game was in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Football Playoffs (Western Division).

The Vikings (7-4) will play Lompoc High School (10-1) in the next round of playoffs next Friday, Nov. 22.

Meanwhile, the St. Monica Mariners football team were eliminated from round one of the CIF Southern Section Football Playoffs (Northeast Division) on Friday night. Rio Hondo Prep defeated the Mariners 62-28.
