American College Inducts Arthur D. Kraus to the Alumni Hall of Fame:

Santa Monica resident Arthur D. Kraus was recently inducted to American Colleges’ Alumni Hall of Fame. The Alumni Hall of Fame was established in 2005 to recognize graduates who embody what the American College stands for – integrity, professionalism, volunteerism and dedication to education.

Each year The College elects a new inductee to the Hall of Fame and honors him/her at a luncheon during the Knowledge Summit or Alumni Association Tour Events.  This year Kraus was honored at the Knowledge Summit held on November 21, 2013 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Kraus is a partner at Santa Monica-based Capital Intelligence Associates, a financial services company.  He entered the financial services business in 1960 with Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Company.  In 1969, he was elected President of Pacific Consulting Corporation, a subsidiary of Pacific Mutual.

A year later, he left to become a co-founder of the AFP Group.  AFP grew to become one of the largest financial planning companies in the United States.

In 1998, Kraus was named CEO of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), the country’s largest financial services association, located in Washington D.C.

Four years later he returned to Los Angeles expecting to retire, at which he failed miserably.  Instead, he worked with his son Mitchell to establish Capital Intelligence Associates, now based in Santa Monica, CA. He is a registered Principal with and offers securities through LPL Financial, member FINRA/SIPC.

“It’s truly an honor to be inducted to American Colleges’ Alumni Hall of Fame,” Kraus said. “I am proud to be recognized for more than 50 of service in the financial services industry by the nation’s leader in financial education.”

The American College is a non-profit educational institution with the highest level of academic accreditation dedicated to leadership in innovative training and development for financial services professionals.

Serving as a valued business partner to banks, brokerage firms, insurance companies and others for over 86 years, The American College has assembled a faculty of the foremost thought leaders in the industry to help companies and their employees succeed.
