Sprinkles Cupcakes Cart To Sell Valentine’s Day Treats In Santa Monica This Weekend:

Sweet treats are coming to the lobby of the Shore Hotel for four days next weekend as Sprinkles Cupcakes sets up a temporary pop-up shop to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

Taking the form of a cart, this pop-up cupcake shop will be selling cupcakes made fresh at its Beverly Hills bakery Friday through Monday.

This will mark the birth of the very first pop-up Sprinkles shop on the west coast. The concept of the pop-up shop originated in New York City and has remained idle since its transfer to Los Angeles – until this Valentine’s Day weekend.

There will be five set flavors available every day: red velvet, black-and-white, dark chocolate, vanilla, and salty caramel, which is a new flavor that will be making its debut. There will also be one or two additional flavors that have not yet been confirmed, making for six or seven total available flavors.

Presale orders can be placed as well; any flavor available on the general daily menu at the Beverly Hills-based bakery will be transferred to the Santa Monica pop-up shop for the day if orders are received in a timely manner. Orders must be a minimum of a dozen cupcakes and must also be prepaid.

The cupcake cart will be located in the lobby of the Shore Hotel, ensuring its visibility to not only the hotel guests but also to much of the foot traffic on Ocean Avenue. Sprinkles aims to attract families and tourists to its convenient location, in hopes of providing its baked goods to followers and fans who cannot conveniently visit the Beverly Hills location.

The pop-up shop will be open Feb. 14-16 from 2 pm to 6 pm each day, as well as on Feb. 17 from 11 am to 3 pm. Each cupcake will be sold for $3.75. The Shore Hotel is located on 1515 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica. To preorder, call 310.729.5831 or email mhanley@sprinkles.com.
