19 Arrests Made At Malibu DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint:

A DUI/Driver’s License checkpoint held in Malibu on the Pacific Coast Highway on Friday night netted 19 arrested.

One person was arrested on suspected DUI, one person was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics, six people were arrested for having a suspended/revoked license, and 11 were arrested for being unlicensed.

Personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Malibu/Lost Hills Station conducted the checkpoint between 7 pm and 3 am near Carbon Canyon Road.

The Sheriff’s Department reported that 1,667 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. Of that total, 1,644 drivers were stopped at the checkpoint.
