33rd District Congressional Candidate Forum This Sunday In Brentwood:

Brentwood News, part of the Mirror Media Group, will host a candidate forum this Sunday for those running to replace Henry Waxman in the 33rd Congressional District.

Jeff Hall, editor and publisher of the Brentwood News, will moderate.

The 33rd Congressional District includes Brentwood, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Agoura Hills, Venice, Mar Vista, and the South Bay.

The event will be held Sunday, April 27, from 2 pm to 4 pm at University Synagogue, 11960 Sunset Boulevard. Seating is limited and tickets will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

When Did it Stop Being Fun?: Exhibition and Panel Discussion Focuses on Kids

A new exhibition aims at drawing attention to the burdens that K-12 students carry while at school, hoping to shed light on the importance of kids being kids. “When Did it Stop Being Fun” opens Saturday at DNJ Gallery in Santa Monica, with a panel discussion scheduled mid-way through the exhibition run.
