Responding to news that the Los Angeles Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE) had certified the results of last month’s elections for the Grass Roots Venice Neighborhood Council, L.A. City Councilman Bill Rosendahl said, “I am very happy that we will, at long last, have a strong, functioning neighborhood council in Venice. It is time to move beyond the divisions of the past few years and work together on solving our problems and building a new future for Venice.“I look forward to working with the new neighborhood council to combat traffic, curb irresponsible development, protect the environment, help the homeless, and keep our neighborhoods safe, clean and vibrant. We have much to do. My staff and I look forward to working together with GRVNC and we welcome my new partners in progress.”
