Missing Malibu Man, 73, Found By His Family At A Motel:

A man who had been missing since last week was found by his family at a motel in the San Fernando Valley, authorities said today.

Vernon John Maas, 73, had booked himself into the motel in Reseda, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Edwards Sheridan said.  Maas was found there by family members Monday, Sheridan said.

Maas had been last seen Friday, and family members thought he might have been trying to make his way home to the Malibu area.
