A Woodland Hills resident was arrested in Santa Monica on Sunday, Oct. 5 after caught vandalizing while drunk.
Officers of the Santa Monica Police Department were called out to investigate a report of vandalism in the 1100 block of 11th Street at 12:50 am on this day.
Upon arrival the officers spoke with a witness who told them that, “some guy just broke the front door and he is hiding in there,” whilst pointing to the front door that led to the courtyard of an apartment complex.
The officers slowly entered the courtyard of the apartment complex and found the “guy” in question lying down in the courtyard.
The suspect displayed obvious signs of intoxication, namely breath that smells like alcohol, enlarged pupils, eye movements that are faster than normal, fast heartbeats and slow breaths, loss of balance, no ability to walk straight or stand still, nausea and vomiting, slurred or loud speech, and sleeping in the courtyard of a strange apartment building.
The officers arrested this 25-year-old Woodland Hills resident and he was charged with public intoxication and vandalism. It was not known at time of going to press whether or not bail was granted.
