A bomb threat today directed at Palisades Charter High School — which was serving as a polling station — led authorities to move the voting location and evacuate the campus.
Explosive experts were sent to the campus at Temescal Canyon Road and Sunset Boulevard after authorities learned of the threat — made via social media — about 8:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The school was evacuated, and the polling place was moved about a half-mile away to Los Angeles Fire Station 69, at 15045 Sunset Blvd., said LAPD Officer Drake Madison.
About 11:45 a.m., the campus was declared safe, and arrangements were being made to reopen the polling place on campus, police said.
