Red Cross Gives Free Flu Shots:

The Santa Monica Chapter of the American Red Cross will host one of the Los Angeles County 2005-2006 flu shot clinics again this year.

The shots will be given from 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, November 9, at the chapter, 1450 Eleventh Street, at Broadway, in Santa Monica.

People who are over 60 and/or have a chronic condition such as asthma, heart disease, kidney disorder or diabetes are eligible for free shots.

People who are allergic to eggs or have any other serious illness should check with their doctors before having flu shots.The free shots are made possible through the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
