3.3 Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Malibu Early Sunday:

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck 4 miles west-northwest of Malibu just after 4 a.m. this morning

A magnitude 3.3 earthquake struck Malibu at 4:05 a.m. today.

The quake’s epicenter was about 4 miles north of Latigo Point, up Escondido Canyon in a sparsely-populated section of the Santa Monica Mountains.

The nearest homes to the epicenter were along Latigo Canyon Road. No damage was reported.

Persons reported feeling the quake along the Santa Monica Bay coast, and as far west as Ventura County.
