A 30-year-old man who refused to identify himself was arrested on Friday, Oct. 16, after masturbating against the wall of a Santa Monica business.
At 6:08 pm officers of the Santa Monica Police Department received a report that a motorist who had been driving through the area of Yale St. and Santa Monica Blvd. had seen a man dancing in the middle of the street and as a result causing a hazard.
Shortly after that call had been made a second citizen said that they had witnessed a man (fitting the same description) leaning up against the wall of a business in the area with his penis removed from his trousers.
This citizen added that the man had also been masturbating openly. Responding officers made contact with the second reporting party and also located the suspect.
The reporting party identified the suspect as being the man who had been pleasuring himself against the wall of the business and agreed to sign a private person’s arrest form.
The officers arrested this man who refused to identify himself and he was charged as a John Doe for indecent exposure. Bail was set at $10,000.
