Little Leaguers Enjoying Spring Training

Santa Monica Little League (SMLL) is hosting a full day of baseball fun this Saturday at Clover Park.

The event is set to include a free baseball clinic and scrimmages.

All of SMLL’s coaches are coming out to help run clinics and drills for any kids in Santa Monica wanting to come out, organizers said.

“Folks can drop in at any time between 10am and 3pm,” said SMLL’s Mark Kapczynski. “We have invited a few food trucks as well to sell snacks.”

Kids do not have to be registered in the league to attend, they can just come out and have fun.

“We have plenty of equipment too – so if they don’t have a glove, no problem, we have them covered,” Kapczynski said.

SMLL does not discriminate against any kid who that wants to play baseball, any kid, no matter their financial situation or their ability to play the game, are welcomed in our league, Kapczynski explained. “We are proud that any kid with an interest in baseball can come join our league.”
