The Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to welcome author and philanthropist Eunice David for a discussion of her new book on her husband, legendary musician Hal David, on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.
For generations, lyricist Hal David has had music fans singing along to his songs, from romantic classics like “I Say a Little Prayer” and “Close to You” to universal charmers like “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head” and “What’s New, Pussycat?” Join us as we take a music-filled stroll down memory lane with Hal’s widow Eunice, who shares the background behind some of his most memorable tunes, as well as stories from her new book Hal David: His Magic Moments. A book sale and signing, provided by Larry Edmunds Bookstore, follows the program.
