Severely Decomposed Body Found in Santa Monica’s Palisades Bluffs

On Saturday, June 22 a body was found in the Palisades Bluffs in Santa Monica, according to the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD).

The body was found around 1 p.m. in the bluffs at the 800 block of Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) says the SMPD. This is near the intersection of Montana Avenue and Ocean Avenue above the bluffs.

According to the SMPD, the body was “severely” decomposed but there were no signs how long the person had been dead or how long the body had been in the bluffs.

The incident closed the PCH for several hours.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner is currently handling the investigation. At the present time, there is no description of what the deceased person looked like.
