Construction is underway in Santa Monica with the concrete frame laid down for new office spaces located near the Metro E Line’s 17th Street/Santa Monica College Station.

The mixed-use development, which will also feature commercial space, is being developed by the Houston-based organization the Friedkin Group as reported by The Real Deal.

Located at the cross streets of Colorado Avenue and Euclid Street, the project is a three-story building made up of  30,000 square feet of office space sitting atop 4,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and 92 spaces of parking on the third-level,

The project is being designed by Belzberg Architects and will feature a U-shaped footprint above the first floor and multiple elements of glass detailing on the outside of the building. Belzberg is a Santa Monica-based firm formed in1997, with clients including large institutions such as the Los Angeles Museum of Holocaust.

Construction began a little over more than a year ago after the property was purchased from Santa Monica-based Watt Companies in 2018.
