April 26 opening for restaurant at 401 Wilshire Boulevard

There hasn’t been an Il Fornaio in Santa Monica for a while since their one location closed quite a few years ago. A slightly different, but related version of the restaurant will soon open at 401 Wilshire Blvd suite 150 on April 26 according to a company spokesperson, as reported by Toddrickallen.
The name of the new restaurant is Osteria del Fornaio and the website says that this new restaurant is “from the lineage that created the iconic Il Fornaio,” and that the restaurant “combines the best of old-world Italia with modern-day California.”
The restaurant will also be using the freshest locally sourced ingredients and make pasta and pizzas in-house. Since this is Osteria del Fornaio’s only location, the website and restaurant offer the option to order delivery to areas outside of Santa Monica. Not only can you order in Beverly Hills, Pasadena, or Woodland Hills, but you can also order from Irvine and Manhattan Beach or in Northern California from cities like Sacramento, San Jose, and Palo Alto.
According to Toddrickallen.com, the menu will actually lean more towards small plates that will be served on communal tables in a bright dining room.
