Palisades Stays Unbeaten In Western League Games:

The Palisades High baseball team remained undefeated in Western league competition by sweeping two games from Westchester, 6-0 and 6-1.

The Dolphins are 6-0 in league games and 11-8 overall.

Venice is 3-3 in the league after defeating University High twice, 4-1 and 9-1, and also won a recent non-league game, 16-0 over Van Nuys after losing to Garfield, 11-1.

Mitch Takade leads Venice with a .395 batting average. Troy Sommo is batting .366 and Jack Richardson has pitched four wins.

In other Westside baseball, St. Monica has a 5-8 record and five different pitchers have won one game. A couple, David Najero and Andrew Loeb, are 1-0. In a recent league game St. Monica lost to Mary Star, 9-8.
