Harold M. Williams Auditorium, Getty Center, 1200 Getty Center Drive, LA, 310.440.7300

Since 1993, Friends of Dean Martinez have brought the influence of Ennio Morricone scores to dive bars and other assorted indie rock refuges. Having done time in Arizona, California and Texas, the band forges images of the Southwest into expansive, primarily instrumental rock pieces. Bill Elms’ pedal steel guitar rolls like tumbleweed into great sonic shapes against a score that plays like a rush of warm wind. Most recently, the band provided the score for Richard Linklater’s film adaptation of Fast Food Nation. There is no cover charge for this performance, but reservations are required.
