News from Broadway Gymnastics:

The Broadway Gymnastics Boys Levels 5-10 teams had their first competitive meet of the season earlier this month. The Level 5 Team placed first on the High Bar event and brought home a team trophy. Additionally, the boys were awarded over two dozen individual event medals.

Here are the stats for Santa Monica residents:

The Level 10 first Place Floor Champion is Douglas Rosman. Rosman also placed second on Rings, third on Pommel Horse, fourth on High Bar, and placed second overall.

Richard Chin, Level 8 gymnast, tied for third place on Floor and Pommel Horse, placed fourth on Parallel Bars and High Bar, and came in third place All-Around.

Level 5 Gymnast Thomas Chin placed third on High Bar, fourth on Vault, and sixth place on Floor.

Daniel Chenevert, Level 6 gymnast, placed fourth on Floor.

Santa Monica Conservancy Celebrates Milestones: 1000th Visitor & Preservation Design Award:

Last week the Santa Monica Conservancy welcomed its 1000th and 1001st visitors, Mike and Megan Lampkin of Santa Monica, to its Preservation Resource Center in Ocean Park. The Lampkins are originally from the Bay area, and although they are neighbors and have walked the neighborhood many times, this was their first visit to the Shotgun House. The couple was presented with a book about shotgun houses.
