Downtown LA Bar Launches Weekly Cocktail Classes

The Association, a downtown Los Angeles cocktail bar, is hosting a series of weekly “Class by Association” cocktail education sessions on Fridays and Saturdays through January.

The one-hour classes, held from 8-9 p.m. at the bar’s location at 110 E. 6th St., cost $45 per person and include tastings of three to four craft cocktails followed by social hours until 10:30 p.m. with discounted drinks.

Sessions are limited to 25 participants and require advance registration. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

January topics include New York craft cocktails (Jan. 9), tequila (Jan. 10), bartenders’ choice (Jan. 16), fire techniques (Jan. 17), cocktails across the world (Jan. 23), mezcal (Jan. 24), dessert cocktails (Jan. 30) and bourbon (Jan. 31).

Classes cover bar basics, tools, techniques, spirit histories and classic/contemporary recipes.

Gift certificates are available for any date.
