Santa Monica College’s Theatre Arts Department will present Michael Frayn’s classic backstage comedy “Noises Off” from March 27 through April 5 on the Main Stage at the college’s Theatre Arts building, 1900 Pico Blvd.
The production, directed by Terrin Adair, follows a theater company’s chaotic attempt to mount a touring play as missed cues, misplaced props and backstage rivalries threaten to derail the performance. The farce intertwines the onstage drama with escalating offstage mishaps, delivering a high-energy portrait of theatrical disorder.
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28; 2 p.m. Sunday, March 29; 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4; and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 5. All show times are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
