Gott’s Roadside has set a fall 2026 opening date for its second Southern California location in Santa Monica.

The Napa Valley-based chain, known for its American roadside classics, will open at 401 Wilshire Blvd., blocks from the beach and near the Third Street Promenade. The 8,800-square-foot restaurant will feature indoor dining space and a 2,200-square-foot outdoor patio. The site was formerly occupied by Osteria.

The Santa Monica location will follow Gott’s first Southern California outpost at the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles.

Gott’s Roadside serves a menu of burgers, sandwiches, salads, tacos, organic shakes and other items, along with a selection of California wines and craft beers. The chain was founded in 1999 by brothers Joel and Duncan Gott in St. Helena and received a James Beard Award in the America’s Classics category.

“After years of searching for an ideal coastal location for Gott’s, we couldn’t be more pleased that the first one will be in Santa Monica,” Gott’s Roadside President Clay Walker said in a statement. “We know our fanbase is excited about our upcoming Farmers Market location, and we didn’t want everyone west of the 405 to be disappointed.”

The Santa Monica restaurant will mark the company’s 10th location overall.
