Metro to Provide Transit Access for 56th Annual Parade and Festival

As part of its “Ride with Pride” campaign, Metro will feature Pride-themed wraps on select buses and bikes to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority will partner with LA Pride for the 56th annual LA Pride Parade and Pride Village, offering attendees convenient and affordable transportation options to one of the city’s largest LGBTQIA+ celebrations.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 14, along Hollywood Boulevard, with Pride Village activities scheduled from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

As part of its “Ride with Pride” campaign, Metro will feature Pride-themed wraps on select buses and bikes to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community. The agency is also transforming two stations along its B Line for the weekend. Hollywood/Highland Station will temporarily be renamed “Hollywood/Prideland,” while Hollywood/Vine Station will become “Hollywood/Pride.”

Metro officials said the station takeovers are designed to enhance the experience for paradegoers and festival attendees traveling to the event by public transit.

Special-edition Pride commemorative TAP cards will be available at select ticket vending machines and will also be distributed during the parade and festival.

Metro encourages attendees to avoid traffic congestion and parking challenges by taking public transit.
