Dragon Alley Coffee opens flagship shop in Downtown Santa Monica on June 17

Co-founders Sage and Richard Chand will host a public ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring complimentary coffee, food, and live entertainment.

Downtown business leaders and local entrepreneurs will gather Wednesday morning to celebrate the grand opening of Dragon Alley Coffee, a new specialty coffee flagship located at 312 Santa Monica Boulevard.

The public debut kicks off at 9:50 a.m. with opening remarks from Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. CEO Debbie Lee, followed by an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. To mark the launch, the café will provide complimentary coffee and tacos to visitors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., accompanied by a live DJ performance. Everyone is invited to attend the morning festivities. 

Co-founded by Santa Monica resident Richard Chand and Sage Chand, the independent brand centers its identity on family traditions and fostering community spaces. The flagship menu features a curated selection of premium coffees, specialty espresso drinks, and imported Japanese matcha.

Dragon Alley Coffee was founded by Sage and Richard Chand and is inspired by family traditions, community connection, and the belief that everyone has an inner dragon waiting to be unleashed. The café serves premium coffee in a welcoming environment designed to bring people together.
