Investigators said a white sedan traveling westbound on Victory Boulevard struck a woman who was crossing the roadway.
Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash in North Hollywood that left a pedestrian dead after she was struck by a vehicle late last week, police said.
The collision occurred around 10:30 p.m. on June 11 near the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Troost Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Investigators said a white sedan traveling westbound on Victory Boulevard struck a woman who was crossing the roadway. The driver fled the scene without stopping to identify themselves or provide assistance, as required by law.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the woman to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Authorities have not released her identity pending notification of next of kin.
The LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division is leading the investigation.
Police reminded motorists involved in collisions to stop as soon as it is safe, contact emergency services and remain at the scene to provide identifying information.
The city offers rewards of up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of hit-and-run suspects.
