The mobile kitchen will tempt fans with a dual-nation Spanish and Belgian split-crust pizza and other CPK classics.
Soccer fans have one final opportunity to try a custom World Cup rivalry menu item on Friday when California Pizza Kitchen wraps up its tournament tour in downtown Santa Monica.
The restaurant chain’s Mobile Kitchen food truck will park along Broadway, between Second and Fourth streets, on July 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the conclusion of its local tournament promotion, coinciding with the high-stakes match between Spain and Belgium. The centerpiece of the final stop is a limited-edition, split-crust “Faceoff Pizza” that features distinct regional toppings representing both competing European nations, which will be for sale.
The Belgian half of the pizza reinterprets the traditional chicons au gratin dish, layering Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, applewood smoked ham, garlic, and fresh Belgian endive. The Spanish half leans into bolder spices, featuring a baseline tomato sauce topped with hot chorizo sausage, red onions, arugula, and shaved Parmesan cheese. The Mobile Kitchen will have CPK’s fan-favorite Original BBQ chicken, Pepperoni, and Cheese pizzas for sale as well.
Alongside the food truck, operators will host an interactive target-kick challenge on the street. Visitors who successfully kick a soccer ball into a net and strike a designated pizza box target will score a coupon for a free appetizer, valid at brick-and-mortar restaurant locations.
While the mobile truck campaign concludes on Friday, the company’s digital promotion continues through the end of the tournament for app loyalty members. Whenever an official tournament game includes a penalty kick or a full shootout, app users will receive a digital credit for a free 7-inch pizza, redeemable with a qualifying purchase the following day.
