Malibu International Film Festival

 April 4-6

 This three-day event features films from around the world, has its own awards ceremony, opening night party, and “filmmaker networking nosh” on Saturday at 10am. Opening night films are Sliding Liberia, a film from Liberia about, believe it or not, surfing, and The Run, an adventure film from the U.K. The opening night and closing awards parties will be held at the Malibu West Beach Club.

7-9:30pm Friday/10am- 7pm Saturday/noon-9pm Sunday, $10 per film, $50 screenings and party pass, MHS Theatre, 30215 Morning View Dr.; awards party at Malibu West Beach Club 30756 PCH; tickets at 866.468.3399.
