Leonardo’s “sassy blues” opens this show, followed by Steve DePena’s comedy shorts. 50 percent of the proceeds from sales of Leonardo and Depena’s CDs and DVDs will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

It’s spring, so it must be the annual Santa Monica Festival, an all-day family event with exhibits on sustainability, arts and crafts, music, dance, food booths, and the ambience of Clover Park. Musical entertainment this year includes Romanian music by Fishtank Ensemble, Dengue Fever’s Cambodian-flavored psychedelic pop, hip-hop from Virginia Avenue Park’s Teen Center, and the John Adams Middle School Jazz Band.
