Softball Roundup:

St. Monica won a CIF playoff wildcard game from Ramona Convent of Alhambra, 3-1 but then was eliminated by Alverno of Sierra Madre, 2-0.

Kiana Doton was the Mariners’ leading hitter with a .407 average. Haleigh Pellicer batted .367 and Kyra Sherrin .346.

St. Monica’s record was 11-12.

New Roads was eliminated from the CIF playoffs by St. Matthias of Downey, 11-6.

Brentwood did not qualify for the playoffs following a 5-15 season.
