“American Sniper” Nears $250 Million In Domestic Box Off Sales:

“American Sniper” neared the quarter-billion-dollar mark in domestic box office sales today, and remained in the number one spot with an estimated $31.9 million in sales this weekend.

It was a good weekend for Hollywood, with overall ticket sales this Super Bowl weekend up about 23 percent over last year, said industry analyst Paul Dergarabedian at Rentrak.
