Annual Event Honors Sister Craig:

Sister Maureen Craig is the recipient of this year’s Ellen Cooperman Angel Award from the John Wayne Cancer Institute Auxiliary (JWCIA) at the organization’s annual membership luncheon.

Sister Craig is chaplain of Sisters of Charity of Levenworth, the order at Saint John’s Health Center.  The award is for her “ongoing commitment to patient advocacy and her dedication to Saint John’s patients and families.”

The Avon Foundation will be receiving JWCIA’s Public Service Award for its commitment to “improving the lives of women.”

The event will be held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Tuesday September 19, and hosted by actress Susan Sullivan.  In addition to the 10:30 a.m. reception and the noon lunch, there will be a gift boutique.  Tickets are still available.  For more information, call 310.829.8324 or go to www.jwci.org.
