Welcomes Applications Beginning November 1
Los Angeles, October 19, 2016 – Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, andqueer (LGBTQ) students seeking financial assistance for their undergraduate or graduate school education are encouraged to apply for a Point Foundation Scholarship. Students enrolling in undergraduate or graduate programs for the 2017-2018 academic year are eligible to apply for Point’s multiyear scholarship.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – The City of Santa Monica has selected three partner organizations to lead a year-long community outreach and education effort for the new minimum wage law. Santa Monica businesses and the public are invited to a business-focused outreach meeting onThursday, October 20 where they can learn more about the minimum wage law. The workshop will be led by Lee Andrews Group. Here is more information on the City’s outreach partners:
Vadym Kholodenko, the gold medal winner of the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, will make his New West Symphony debut playing Sergei Rachmaninov’s Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18. The world premiere Adam Schoenberg’s Go, written on a commission from the New West Symphony and Igor Stravinsky’s 1919 Suite from The Firebird complete the program.
The Los Angeles: Detailed Exhibition will feature work by nine Los Angeles-area photographers. The exhibit is on view November 15th, 2016 through February 19th, 2017 at the Annenberg Community Beach House Gallery (open 9am-4pm unless noted). On Tuesday, November 15th, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, the public is invited to an opening reception. Light refreshments provided. Live music will be presented by Eric Kufs
