Average Price of Gas Drops to its Lowest Since February

Latest Los Angeles County gas news.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Thursday to $3.002, its lowest amount since Feb. 24.

The average price is 1.5 cents less than one week ago and 3.2 cents lower than one month ago but 18.4 cents higher than on Jan. 1 and 16.6 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price rose one-tenth of a cent to $2.99, 1.1 cents less than one week ago and 2.6 cents lower than one month ago but 17.3 cents higher than on Jan. 1 and 18 cents more than one year ago.
