A run of eight decreases in nine days to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County ended Wednesday with an increase of one-tenth of a cent to $2.904.
The average price dropped 2.4 cents over the previous nine days, including a half-cent Tuesday, to its lowest amount since Feb. 6, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 1.6 cents less than one week ago and 8.7 cents lower than one month ago but six-tenths of a cent more than one year ago and 8.6 cents higher than on Jan. 1.
The Orange County average price dropped to its lowest amount since Feb. 2, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $2.863. It has dropped 10 consecutive days, decreasing 2.9 cents, including two-tenth of a cent on Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 2.1 cents less than one week ago, 9.9 cents lower than one month ago and 2.2 cents below what it was one year ago but 4.6 cents more than on Jan. 1.
